IDEMITSU Honda LCR rider Somkiat Chantra has crossed the line 19th on Saturday’s Sprint at Mugello.
  • Starting from 22nd on the grid, Chantra was determined to get the most out of his package and recover positions.
  • The Thai rider made a solid start, trying to build confidence to push throughout the 11 laps.
  • However, he struggled with a lack of grip, which, combined with high temperatures, compromised tyre performance and made it difficult to maintain consistent lap times.
  • The team will work on some adjustments to the bike setup ahead of Sunday’s race to improve overall performance and grip.

“Today we made some changes to the settings, and I could feel some improvements. However, during the Sprint, I struggled in the braking areas and lost time there. We’ll try to take a step forward for tomorrow’s race.”
