Australian Grand Prix: Chantra completes Phillip Island Sprint

IDEMITSU Honda LCR rider Somkiat Chantra finished 18th in Saturday’s Sprint at Phillip Island.

• Starting from 21st on the grid, Chantra had a good start and quickly found his rhythm.
• While trying to stay with the group, the Thai rider had some trouble keeping up the pace.
• He fought hard until the end of the Sprint and finished ahead of experienced riders, showing solid progress and enjoying the laps.

“At the beginning of the Sprint, it was difficult to stay with the group. I felt some spinning on the bike and couldn’t push the way I wanted. Eventually, I lost contact with the group, but after that, I focused on keeping my pace and following the riders ahead. In the end, the lap time and the gap weren’t too bad. We’ll be ready for tomorrow after analyzing all the data.”
